RAA Road Assessment of Clare & Gilbert Valleys and Goyder Council.

RAA’s Road Safety Department will be visiting the Clare Valley & surrounding districts in January to complete a Tourism Regional Road Assessment to identify issues and improve the safety of local roads.

As either a local resident or someone with recent experience using the local road network, we’re hoping you can help us by completing this survey.

This survey will assist our team to:
Gain awareness of local roads and mobility issues
Test and develop a priority roads list
Identify road infrastructure key issues
Identify any gaps in current road safety/mobility options

RAA provides a number of services directly related to supporting older drivers.

CarFit is a free educational program designed to provide advice on how you and your car can fit together to maximise comfort and safety. Working with an occupational therapist we’ll look at things like seat position, mirrors, and seatbelts and head restraints to make sure they are set up for you.

CarFit is open to people of all ages and driving experience.

 
Years Ahead provides free presentations to organised groups of older drivers that provide support and education on various topics. These include - Road Safety (road rules, fitness to drive and buying a safe car), Lifestyle (travelling interstate and security in the home), Mobility Matters (motorised wheelchairs), Then and Now (history of RAA) and Road Rules Quiz (interactive road rules quiz). Presentations are from specially trained RAA staff and are free to organised groups.
